Tacet or Tacit
Tacet** is a musical term derived from Latin meaning "it is silent," used to indicate that a particular instrument or voice does not play during a specific movement or section of a piece. It often appears in orchestral or ensemble music to show that a player should remain completely silent for an entire passage, especially in multi-movement works.
