Aluminium fencing – still a good choice these days?

Hi all, we’re renovating the front of our house and looking at new fencing options. A lot of neighbours are going with timber or even glass, but I keep circling back to aluminium. My dad swears by it because he reckons it lasts forever and doesn’t rot like timber, but my wife thinks it might look a bit old school. I’m after something low-maintenance (I’m not the gardening/painting type) and safe for the dog too. Anyone got aluminium fencing installed recently? How’s it holding up and does it still look decent compared to fancier options?

Funny you say that – I had the same convo with my brother a few months back. Aluminium fencing is still a cracker choice, especially if you don’t want to be sanding and repainting every summer. We put some in at our place in Geelong about two years ago, and it still looks as fresh as the day it was installed. No rust, no fading, and the dog hasn’t managed to chew through it (yet). Plus, there are heaps of modern styles now, so it doesn’t look daggy at all. If you’re curious, check these guys out: https://fullflexfencing.au/services/aluminium-fencing/ – they sorted us out quick smart.
