HI,

Can anyone explain the exact difference between Change Request & Change log ? Definition of "Manage Stakeholder engagement" - Communicating and working with stakeholders to meet their needs and address any issues as they occur in the project From the definition it can be said that PM also solve issues if any. then why Issue Log is not used as Input to "Manage Stakeholder engagement" ?

please help

I did not find the right solution from the internet.

Difference between Change Request and Change Log

Change Request:
This is a formal proposal to modify any document, deliverable, or baseline. For example, a stakeholder might request a change in project scope or schedule. It’s an action item, something you submit and wait for approval.

Change Log:
This is a record of all change requests — approved, rejected, or under review. Think of it as a history book of every change that was requested and what happened to it. It helps keep stakeholders informed about changes and decisions.
