Natonals left fielder Juan Soto plays the game at his own pace and Cardinals fans expre sed their displeasure with that pace in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series on Friday.
In the top of Kamal Martin Jerseys the fourth inning, Soto attempted to bunt down the third baseline to beat the shift, but the ball snuck just foul to extend his at-bat.
That's not too big of a play right? Not a big impact on the game. But in this particular moment, Cardinals fans took exception to Soto.
The reason?
Soto took too long to get back to home plate for their liking.
Juan Soto was just booed Carolina Panthers Hats for ... walking sort of slowly back to the box after a bunt attempt went foul. Then the crowd cheered very loudly when he swung through a pitch. Now we're really off in St. Louis.

It's also po sible Cardinals fans were booing Soto because they are analytically driven baseball people who think bunts are usele s, or because they want to see a young stud like Soto hit and not bunt.
But, odds are, they were not booing for that reason.
The Cardinals just came out of a series where the drama was turned up to 11. Robby Anderson Jerseys Carlos Martinez got mad at Ronald Acuna Jr. for stutter stepping at third base when he hit a home run. Acuna pimped a fly ball he thought was a home run and wound up with a single. Yadier Molina bat flipped into J.J. Jansen Jerseys right field on a game-winning sacrifice fly. And Acuna got mad when Jack Flaherty went up and in and hit him during Game 5.
The drama in the National League is real right now and it has carried over to Cardinals fans.
This should be a fun series.
