My highlights used to look great for a few weeks and then turn brassy and flat. My stylist recommended a toner and a purple shampoo to neutralize the yellow tones, and it made a huge difference. I also started getting subtle touch-ups every few months to blend new growth more naturally. Having blonde hair with highlights is gorgeous, but it really comes down to good aftercare: hydrating masks, heat protection, and gentle washing routines. Now my hair keeps that luminous tone for months, and it feels softer than before.
