Yowayowa Sensei Anime Reveals More Cast in Teaser Trailer
Hiroshi Ishiodori directs the comedy series at studio Brain's Base
A teaser trailer was released for the Yowayowa Sensei anime before its planned April 2026 broadcast today, giving us our first look at the school comedy series and introducing four additional cast members.
The newly announced cast members are as follows, joining Kakeru Hatano (Akihito) and Marika Kono (Hiyori):
Mizuki Mukubayashi voiced by Yurie Igoma (Ruby in 【OSHI NO KO】Opens in a new tab)
Yuki Yuki ... a voiced by Yu Sasahara (Puiniru in Puniru is a Kawaii SlimeOpens in a new tab)
Kaya Kuguri voiced by Yuko Natsuyoshi (Kaguya in Cosmic Princess Kaguya!)
Akemi Abikura voiced by Mai Nakahara (Byakuya in The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies
Hiroshi Ishiodori (An Archdemon's Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride) directs the Yowayowa Sensei anime at studio Brain's Base, with series composition by Yoshifumi Fukushima, character designs by Naoki Aisaka (Gakuen Basara: Samurai High School chief animation director) and music by Akifumi Tada and Rina Tayama (Secrets of the Silent Witch).
As previously reported, the series' synopsis reads (translated):
Hiyori Hiwamura, a newly-assigned teacher, is feared by her students as "Kowakowa Sensei" (Scary Scary Teacher) who will curse them if she gets upset. But in reality, she is just "Yowayowa Sensei" (Weak Weak Teacher) with zero physical strength, a weak voice, and every single stat at the absolute lowest level!
Abekura-kun, the student in charge of Hiwamura-sensei's class, accidentally learns her secret. Determined to help her clear up the students' misunderstanding so her clumsy efforts will pay off, he gets swept up in thrilling, heart-pounding trouble while supporting his beloved Hiwamura-sensei!
